Hello All,
Today is day 6 of my 90 day health/fitness challenge. I started my first day off by learning how to do pull-ups. I have to admit that I didn’t expect them to be so hard. I am in the process of training. What do I do to train? I have an in home pull up bar. I stand up on the chair until my chin is over the bar. With my legs on the bottom of the chair for support, I slowly drop my arms down fully. I do this 8 times and 6 reps of 7. Needless to say, I was RIDICULOUSLY SORE!! My back hurt worse than my arms for days. I will be working on this exercise twice a week.
Friday and Saturday I took off. Sunday, I really wanted to be lazy but I decided to at least get off of the couch and walk my dog for 20/30 minutes and I did. I just had to get up and MOVE!
Yesterday was Monday and I surprised myself. I did cardio for 55 minutes by switching up from jogging and walking inbetween Pandora songs on my IPhone. I completed 3 miles yesterday!!! I didn’t even realize it until I reached a certain point. I wasn’t tired or anything. I was just determined to do cardio and I did just that. ;-)
My diet consists of two Vi-Shakes a day in replacement of a large meal. In between that I’ll have light, healthy snacks.
Yesterday’s diet:
First: 8 oz of water before jog
Breakfast/post workout- Chocolate Vi-Shake (Loaded with over 23 vitamins and nutrients)
AM snack- Small salad- 1 cup of spinach, 1/4 of chopped tomatoes, 1/2 avocado chopped, small chunks of mozzarella cheese with pepper and Italian season over it and drizzled Italian dressing.
Lunch- Orange Sickle Vi-Shake (8 oz of Orange Juice, 2 scoops of Vi-powder, and half of a frozen banana)
Dinner- Grilled cheese sandwich and 1/2 cup of tomato soup
Today I will be working on legs.
Tomorrow will start my 90 day health/fitness challenge. My goal? To get down to 125 lbs and to do one pull up. My husband’s email came through this time. My or else? He was gentle, I suppose for giving me several options. My or else will consist of joining a dance/sports team for a certain duration. Listed below are my options if I fail to meet my 90 day goal:
Zumba- 90 days
Jazzercise- 90 days
Gymnastics- 180 days
Ballet- 1 year
Kick boxing- 90 days
Pro Cheerleading- 3 years
Chair dancing- 90 days
Yoga- Indefinite
Belly dancing- 90 days
Tomorrow, January the 4th will officially start my 90 day challenge. Stay tuned.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! It’s that time again where everyone has started or will begin their New Year Resolutions by tomorrow. Mine will start tomorrow and I have prepared a little before hand to help get myself motivated for the challenge ahead. I went to Old Navy and found a nice workout outfit with a matching wind breaker jacket. Another mini purchase was my Iphone sports arms band so I don’t have to hold my IPhone as I jog; so relieved. :-)
A few days ago, I posted that I’ll be starting my 90 day health/fitness challenge with my goals and my “or else” IF I don’t meet my goal with the 90 day period. I thought about getting options from Facebook/Tumblr but then I decided that I would let my husband choose my “or else” if for some reason don’t meet my goal. He is currently deployed and has emailed it to me. The only problem is that he sent it from a format that I can’t open. When I get his “or else” for my challenge then I’ll be posting it along with my 90 day goal. I plan on posting my updates every two weeks or so.
Let’s do this!!!
Everyone has a New Year’s Resolution, right? The truth is, most everyone starts a New Year’s Resolution but we all know that hang overs last longer than resolutions do. This year, I have joined together with the World’s Largest Resolution Rally. This community rally’s goal is to collect the world’s largest resolutions ever recorded in history. Do you want to be apart of history?
Why is this resolution different than any other year? Accountability for one; I am publicly stating my goals and will be documenting my 90 day challenge. The pressure is on. Another part of this resolution rally is the ‘resolution or else’ factor. IF I don’t meet my stated goal then I will have to….. This is even more so motivation.
I’ll be updating my goals or else in the near future. What is your health/fitness New Year’s Resolution?
